How SGPT Pools Leverages Technology to Drive Its Business

SGPT pools is an online betting platform that makes placing bets easy and accessible for all. You can choose from a wide variety of bet types, including predicting the outcome of one event to multiple events in parlays – and it’s free to use! Just be sure to read the rules and regulations carefully before putting your bets. You can even make your bets from your phone or tablet, so you can be in full control of your betting experience.

As the legal lottery and gaming industry becomes increasingly digitalised, Singapore Pools is leveraging technology to help drive its business and uphold socially responsible and self-regulating standards. Founded in 1968, Singapore Pools now operates a nationwide network of over 300 and authorized retail outlets offering Toto, 4D and Sports Betting games, and provides an array of services for its customers.

The company also works to mitigate illegal gambling activities by providing a secure and regulated e-payment gateway. In addition, it has taken steps to improve its customer touchpoints – going from traditional counter-service to a fully digital platform for onboarding, account management and bet placements. Its latest IT innovation is PoolzConnect, a telephone-based betting system that provides remote access and personalised bet-taking service through an IP-enabled call center and security payment infrastructure.

Yeo’s team has also proactively set up forums for staff to share ideas and opinions on new initiatives, which are then incorporated into the company’s ongoing strategy. He credits much of Singapore Pools’ IT success to its Chief Information Officer, Tan Soon Nan, who has a strong track record in banking and investments and is a “strong leader with a strong vision for the future”.

In 2023, the company scored another major IT milestone with its launch of PoolzConnect, an internet-enabled telephone betting system that lets customers access their accounts from anywhere, anytime by speaking with call operators at an IP-enabled call centre and security payment gateway linked to local banks. This allowed Singapore Pools to offer new betting opportunities, enhance its customer service, reduce illegal gambling activities and strengthen the company’s e-payment infrastructure.

Moreover, it has helped to boost the firm’s reputation for being trustworthy and reliable. PoolzConnect is able to process over a billion transactions annually, with customers paying for their bets by credit or debit card. In addition, it offers a number of additional features such as live draws and a mobile app to help customers manage their bets on the go.

Aside from its core business, Singapore Pools also strives to be a “Company for Good”. The company has a strong track record of giving back to the community and is committed to supporting children from low-income families. It recently launched Project Green Shoots, a scheme to top up the Child Development Account (CDA) of 350 children in Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng. The scheme was made possible by a partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development. In addition, it also provided funding for the construction of a community gym and playground at Kim Seng Community Centre.

The 10th Annual Hong Kong Prize

The Hong Kong Prize is a research competition to encourage innovative ideas on enhancing the role of Hong Kong in global development and international cooperation. Submissions are evaluated by experts and will be presented to key stakeholders in the development industry. Winners will be awarded HK$5,000 and the opportunity to showcase their ideas on the development of Hong Kong.

The HK Prize is open to researchers and academics in the field of Hong Kong studies and its relation to China, Asia and beyond. The winning article will be published in the journal and will encourage dialogues and collaborations among scholars. The journal focuses on the study of Hong Kong history, politics, society and culture. It also promotes the development of new theories, concepts and methods in the discipline.

In order to ensure the fairness of the draw, a number of measures are taken. The HKJC’s employees from the security and customer service departments check and test all materials used in the draw, including the balls and the drawing machine. Moreover, the same set of balls are not used for consecutive draws.

Besides the monetary prize, there are several other rewards for the winners, such as the opportunity to present their work at international conferences and workshops. Additionally, the finalists receive recognition from the Hong Kong Prize jury and will have their work displayed in an exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Arts.

This year, the prize is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its founding, and the theme of this year’s competition is “Achieving sustainability through innovation”. Submissions must focus on one of the five following fields: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Life and Health, New Materials and Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, or FinTech. In addition to the main prize, there are also two special awards and three honourable mentions.

A new report on entrepreneurship in the city by the HK Economic Policy Research Foundation finds that the city’s economic growth is sustainable, and the local government has made good progress in encouraging the development of a diverse and inclusive economy. However, more needs to be done to improve the environment for entrepreneurs and foster their creativity.

The winners of the hk prize will be announced at an event on 8 December. The award ceremony will be attended by leaders in education, public policy and philanthropy. It will feature the awardees’ speeches and a panel discussion to explore how to build resilience in education through innovation and collaboration. This event is free to attend. For more information, please visit the website of the HK Prize. The organisers hope that the event will inspire more people to become entrepreneurs in the future.
